They started with one service a month with tea afterwards to get to know each other. Maureen Edgar played piano and Dawn Victor led the singing. The Mossel Bay minister at the time preached together with other church ministers in the area. The first mini bazaar was joyfully planned to raise funds and it raised a total of R315.62. This money the church used to opened a bank account for a building fund. There is also Children and Youth church during this service. This is a smaller service were we enjoy good coffee, fellowship and contemporary worship. 10h00 Is our family service, there is also Children and Youth church during this service. It is an absolute joy and privilege for me to be serving in George as the senior pastor. Phil has been a George resident since 1985, is happily married to Lesley and is an estate agent. Currently Phil works as the GMC Office Administrator on a part-time basis. Phil is an ordained Local Preacher having begun preaching in Gayle loves Children’s ministry and has a passion for God. She enjoys reading and spending time with her kids. Yvette starting worship leading and song writing in 1992 and has gone on to do music productions with a particular passion for soaking music, of which this is available for free on the web for download. Mary Nel is a cleaner here at the church and has been working at the George Methodist Church since 1997, she has one daughter and four beautiful grandchildren. She loves singing and worshipping and watching the rugby. Leon has been with the George Methodist Church for 11 years, he is married with a son who is 29 years of age. He is in charge of the cleaning and maintenance responsibilities. Christina Carelse is one of the cleaners at the Goerge Methodist Church and has been working at the Church for 19 years, she has four children and eight beautiful grandchildren. Christina loves gardening and making spaces look beautiful as well as singing. We run two services on Sundays 8h00 Is our early service, it is a little more traditional where we sing hymns 10h00 Is our family service, there is also Children and Youth church during this service.
