Being at OAM really reminds me how Jesus came to earth to serve, and that we are called to do the same, no matter where we are and that there is so much that God has given us.
Out of Africa missions exists to be a catalyst for change in the local community and beyond, and to introduce people to a personal faith in Jesus Christ, while serving their local community.

To get a better idea of where George is exactly, check out a map of George. Knowing about the city/country you’ll be visiting is extremely helpful in preparing for what you’ll encounter. The city is situated halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the Garden Route. Out of Africa Missions is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 by Executive Director Pierre Bartels, who envisioned strengthening the kingdom by offering the opportunity for missions teams to come and serve in South Africa. Based in George, South Africa, OAM operates a variety of projects aimed at uniting individuals, ministries, organizations and churches in demonstrating God’s love and mentoring people to make a difference in their communities. UK and US teams have had the opportunity to serve in local outreach opportunities such as; Kidstop, Life Community Services, Badisa, Christian Medical Service Relieve, Waboomskrall Rural Minisitry, Nunation, and local townships. Since this dream, OAM has expanded and has grown to develop three more ministries that function under the OAM umbrella which include; Living Hope Homes, Life Academy, and Sports Academy. Out of Africa missions exists to be a catalyst for change in the local community and beyond, and to introduce people to a personal faith in Jesus Christ, while serving their local community. Out of Africa Missions exists to develop passionate followers of Jesus Christ, through the use of community outreaches and partnerships in George, South Africa. After 2 weeks of volunteering with us we were very sad to say goodbye to the Shankill Team from Belfast, Northern Ireland. This team was incredible and really touched the lives of everyone they met.
