Numerous walks are open to the public and secluded beaches like Dollieskraal can be reached along coastal paths. The pristine and well-serviced main beach is 5 minutes away by car and 20 minutes on foot. Short and easy fynbos walks offering stunning vistas onto the coastal settlement and tidal pools. Two tidal pools with safe snorkelling opportunities and angling spots are all centrally located. All major car rental services are available at the airport. George town is 16km away from our accommodation with the popular Garden Route Mall offering movie theaters, restaurants, groceries shops and chain stores. Local pubs, restaurants and paint ball are close by and just 5 minutes away by car or 20 minutes on foot. Of the many golf courses available in a 20km radius one can be assured of a suitable price range. The Third Dolphin offers self-catering accommodation in the stunning Garden Route village of Herold’s Bay. The area is quiet, on the edge of town and free of crime. The master bedroom offers a queen size, extra length bed and the second bedroom offers two single beds. The flat has a full bathroom, which contains a separate shower and bath and a fully equipped kitchen. Both full bathroom and kitchen areas are modern and very comfortable. Washing lines are provided and a laundry facility is available on request. The Herold’s Bay Café stocks basic necessities and is comparable to a garage convenient store. They have card facilities as well as an ATM inside. There is no petrol service station in Herold’s Bay. Should you carry straight on, you will land up at the beach, which is quite a detour to the accommodation via this route. A couple of coastal development advertisement boards are also placed at this turn-off. You will end up at a Stop Street with Herold’s Bay Café on the right and a small church building on the left. Children under 3 years of age are FREE when the unit price already applies. No booking is final before such a deposit has been paid and acknowledged. If your booking takes place within 14 days of arrival, the full amount is payable at time of booking. This payment can also be done in cash on the day of arrival. The breakage fee is fully refundable within 5 work days from the date of departure should there be no major damages. More than four weeks in advance: the full deposit is refunded, less a 10% handling fee. Three to four weeks in advance: 50% of deposit refunded (i.e. Should the guests leave before the end of their booked time no refunds will be made.
